By accessing or using Cognicampus, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use our Service.

  • "Platform" refers to the Cognicampus ERP, AI tutoring system, and all associated software and digital tools.
  • "Institution" refers to the educational entity (school, college, university) that has subscribed to Cognicampus and authorized your access.
  • "Authorized User" refers to students, faculty, administrators, and staff registered by the Institution.
  • "Institutional Data" refers to syllabus, curriculum, schedules, and other academic content provided by the Institution.
  • "AI Agent" refers to the artificial intelligence-based academic support system provided within the Platform.

2. Access and Eligibility

Your access to Cognicampus is contingent upon:

  • Institutional Authorization: You must be a verified student, faculty member, or administrator of a subscribing Institution.
  • Age Requirement: Users under 18 years of age must access the platform under the consent and supervision of the Institution and their legal guardians.
  • Credentials: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You agree not to share your account details with any third party.

3. Nature of Services

Cognicampus provides a SaaS-based academic infrastructure that includes:

  • Institution-First AI: An AI tutoring assistant that answers student queries based strictly on the Institution's uploaded syllabus and curriculum.
  • Academic Management: Tools for faculty to manage courses, topics, and track student progress.
  • Analytics: Dashboards for tracking academic performance and syllabus coverage.

Disclaimer: The AI Agent is a support tool designed to aid understanding. It does not replace classroom teaching, official textbooks, or faculty instruction. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated responses may occasionally be incomplete or incorrect. Users should verify critical info with their instructors.

4. User Conduct and Responsibilities

You agree to use Cognicampus strictly for academic and administrative purposes. You shall not:

  • Use the platform for any illegal, harmful, or unauthorized purpose.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or copy any part of the Platform's source code or architecture.
  • Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or any malicious code.
  • Share sensitive personal information regarding others without authorization.
  • Interfere with the integrity or performance of the Platform.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

  • Cognicampus Ownership: We retain all rights, title, and interest in and to the Platform, including our software, AI models, algorithms, design, and branding.
  • Institution Ownership: The Institution retains all ownership rights to the Institutional Data (syllabus, course materials) uploaded to the Platform. Cognicampus is granted a customized license to process this data solely for providing the Service.
  • User Content: You retain ownership of content you create (e.g., notes, specific queries), but you grant us a license to use this data to provide and improve the Service in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

6. Data Protection and Privacy

Our collection and use of personal data are governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the processing of your data as outlined therein. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information.

7. Payment and Subscription

  • Institutional Billing: Services are typically billed to the Institution under a B2B agreement. Individual users (students/faculty) are generally not charged directly by Cognicampus.
  • Non-Payment: We reserve the right to suspend access to the Institution and its users if subscription fees are not paid in accordance with the agreement.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cognicampus and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

  • Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service.
  • Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service.
  • Typically incorrect academic guidance provided by the AI Agent (users are expected to verify with faculty).
  • Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.

9. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Cognicampus and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including, without limitation, reasonable legal fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

10. Modifications to Service and Terms

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Service (or any part thereof) with or without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Platform or via email. specific continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising from or relating to the subject matter of these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ernakulam, Kerala.
